Job Title – Library Services and Programs Officer
Salary - $61,965 Pro Rata
Qualification – Diploma of Library Information, Information
Services or equivalent
Location – Four branches run by the council as well as
Mobile Library, Outreach Services, Home Library Services
Key responsibilities
· Proactively supporting & promoting the day
to day delivery of programs and collections
· Delivery of regular children’s story times and
programs
· Providing assistance and advice to customers
· Supporting customer use of technology and
library systems
· Developing & maintaining relationships with
the community groups
· Training and monitoring work tasks for
volunteers and work experience/placement students
· Supporting the development and delivery of
regular programs & events
· Data entry into the Library Management system
· Collection, processing and reconciliation of
Income generating at from of house customer service and self-service stations
Other Relevant information
· Relevant prior experience in public libraries
· A current Victorian driver’s licence or the
ability to travel between Library branches and offices
· A valid Working with Children’s Check
· Applicants must be prepared to undertake a
Police Records Check
