Job Title- Library Technician 

Employment Type – Part time

Location – Greenhills Primary School

Qualification – None listed, but must have the aptitude, experiencer and/or qualifications to fulfil the specific requirements of the position.

Skills required-

  • Demonstrate experience and skills in coordinating a specific education support function.
  • Demonstrate high level oral and written communication.
  • Possess the technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the position
  • Demonstrate capacity to provide advice and support to management in respect to the position.
  • Demonstrate commitment to professional learning and growth for both self and others.
  • Duties-
  • Manage the use and maintenance of equipment within the work area.
  • Ensure security is maintained within a work area.
  • Manage procedures relating to the maintenance of specialist collections, e.g. Library resource materials and collections.
  • Evaluate and select equipment and materials and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Develop procedures relating to the use and maintenance of equipment and materials.
  • Coordinate the purchase of equipment and materials
  • Coordinate school events such as Book Fairs.
